Like a fancier Pepper Lunch

Fukuyoshi is a meat-focused restaurant in Niigata City's Chuo ward, and I liken them to a fancier Pepper Lunch based on their menu. They've got staples like hamburger steak or skirt steak, and you can pick what size (in grams) of meat you want -- I find this really helpful if you're visiting in a group and all have different appetites. They also have kids menus, and I for one appreciate that family-friendliness! Tons of seating including single-seat counter style tables, and because it's a freestanding building there's lots of parking directly out front.
