  • Pasta with a Heavy Japanese Influence

Pasta with a heavy Japanese influence. Tried the basics, a green salad and mozzarella cheese and red sauce pasta. The green salad usually comes with bacon/ham, but if you request without, it can be accommodated, but the price will not change. The salad seemed heavy on the iceberg lettuce and granola bits, but that may be because of the meat was removed. The dressing is offered on the side, a light Italian. All pasta plates come with a free option of being ‘large sized’ giving people with a healthy appetite more to eat. If you want an even bigger plate of pasta, that will cost an extra 100 yen which is a pretty amazing deal for how much pasta is on the plate. The pasta was al dente and the red sauce was slightly chunky and delicious. The mozzarella was served in delicious bite-sized morsels, easy to grab to make every mouthful of pasta rich and cheesy. The salmon and salmon roe pasta with butter and soy sauce was the epitome of Japanese-Italian fusion dish. It seemed just a hint on the watery size, but my partner assured me that that’s simply how a Japanese style pasta sauce is served. The salmon was perfectly cooked and although it seemed small as a portion, the dish was served ‘LL’ double large, so it’s actually a normal size. The staff was helpful, and the service was speedy. I recommend going a little earlier than traditional dinner times (around 6 pm) if you’d prefer a quiet dining experience. The drink bar, kid’s menu, and being in the Apita shopping malls brings in tons of families.
