Takakuramachi Coffee is a chain with several branches across Japan, but this specifically relates to the Joetsu store which opened fairly recently in 2023. The store itself has a really cozy atmosphere, and I love that they have the fluffly, souffle-style pancakes here -- they're solidly good, so don't discount them just because they're a chain! Tons of savory options, too, but it's hard to go past the pancakes!
