Good break from Asakusa crowds
On a visit to Asakusa I wanted to take a breather away from the crowds. This is a good spot with a path along the river affording excellent views of Tokyo Skytree and Asahi Beer Tower. There are many benches under shady trees, well-maintained toilets, and an underground gallery for local exhibitions.

Scenic spot not far from Sensoji
Sumida Park is a great outdoorsy spot to get your sakura fix during spring, and it's particularly convenient if you're already exploring the Asakusa area -- it's under 5 minutes away from Senso-ji Temple on foot. You can also find some hydrangeas in the park in early summer, and the views of Tokyo Skytree are also fab!

For sakura x skytree
Sumida Park is located along the Sumida River beside the Tokyo Metro and Tobu Asakusa stations and as such close to Sensoji. It is a very picturesque and photogenic park with the view of Tokyo Skytree and other unusual architecture as well as the river cruise boats. It is particularly pretty during cherry blossom season. They hang festival lanterns and you can picnic (hanami) under the sakura. You can get a shot of cherry blossoms with the skytree in the background. Unfortunately, this is the only photo I have without clear views of stranger's faces. I didn't have the patience to wait to get a clear photo with no people in it! But many people do and if you want to do the same, expect to have to wait your turn.
