Cape Taibusa Nature Park 大房岬自然公園

Tokyo Bay panorama, forest and beach spot

Taibusamisaki has a forest canopy, beaches, two campgrounds, and barbeque areas. The cape was a strategic spot for observing Tokyo Bay and retains a few bunkers and cannon platforms. It's got paved paths through the forest with some steep parts. A few tracks lead down steps to the shoreline and some interesting caves and rock formations. On the south side of the cape is a wide lawn below a cliff and there is a rocky beach below. There's lots of wildlife here including tiny red crabs and tobi hawks. The varied landscape and lots of activities make it a great location for a family trip.
