A cozy cafe in front of Lake Yamanaka

A pleasant drive around Yamanakako led us to this humble yet cozy cafe in front of the lake itself. You can have an unobstructed view of the majestic Mt. Fuji if you choose to sit at the counter seats inside or you may also choose to be at the outdoor area of this cafe. Whichever it is you choose, you will be mesmerized by the view for sure. As for the food, they don't have a very wide variety of dishes but each dish was satisfying and the coffee serving was bigger than what I had expected. They also served the meal that we ordered with a complimentary burdock salad. The staff were so nice and friendly. The cafe was decorated with gorgeous photos of Mt. Fuji from different angles and at different times of the day. You will be in awe looking at the photos and what was more amazing is that the owner took the photos herself. She even showed us the original photos and videos that she took using her smartphone! And speaking of smartphones, the staff went all out when taking photos of us after we finished paying our bill. As I looked through our group photos, I could tell she had been doing this for a long time. She even guided us in crossing the street as the parking lot is accessible by having to cross a busy street.
