Warm hospitality, dining variety, and awesome bath
I booked this hotel based on the name! Kichimu, a lucky dream. And I wasn't disappointed. At the reception, the staff member greeted me in Japanese and I muttered to myself in English. And the staff member reassured me in fluent English. I was off to a good start. The reception area and lounge looks onto the water which took my breath away. It's a lovely spot to stay. I opted for only the breakfast plan so I had to fend for myself at dinner time. No worry, as the front desk staff directed me to an excellent local eatery. The baths on the top floors of the hotel are soothing with a view of the sea. Even better, you can see a lot of celestial objects from here (not quite dark enough for the full Milky Way view) which is priceless. My room had a vestibule that led into the room so it was so quiet at night. The breakfast included in the booking was buffet style with a treat - sazae curry! It was piquant and weirdly marine, and delicious! That breakfast sustained me for a day of sightseeing.
