Hotel catering to children and groups

I went on my own to Minamiboso City for a getaway, and reserved at this excellent hotel situated on Cape Taibusa. It's a great getaway from Tokyo and the environs by highway bus or car. I chose to come down by train and reserved the hotel's shuttlebus from the nearest train station. The hotel doesn't have an onsen exactly, but a huge public bath with an outdoor pool so you can see the blue sky and hear the waves crash on the coast. From here, I did a cycling day trip and soothed my tired muscles in the relaxing bath. The room was a spacious washitsu and I slept like a log since the hotel is surrounded by a forest. The breakfast, which I added to my bill, was excellent with local specialities including simmered local produce, seasonal braised and fried fish, and fresh fruit. The dining room looks out onto the forested cliffside and Tokyo Bay. The hotel has facilities for children with a pirate treasure chest in the lobby and kid-sized furniture in the rooms. It's also got rooms for guests with dogs.
