A slice of Americana
Canadians, not just Americans, may find this chain of restaurants a nostalgic treat! While the TGI Fridays franchise is American, the vibe and fare are reminiscent of casual restaurants in major Canadian cities. I've often visited TGI Fridays Shibuya (and the Harajuku location) with Americans, Canadians, and Japanese who hanker for casual American diner favorites such as ribs, Buffalo wings, and Cajun chicken. A rave here is the nachos and guac. Sure, I could do this at home, but for a night out with friends, it's a laid-back atmosphere to share a platter of nachos as a treat for a get together.

Great atmosphere
This branch of TGI Fridays is probably my favorite. It always seems to be buzzing and has a great atmosphere. Very nice and cheerful staff too. Like all the TGI Fridays, the portions are large so you do pay a bit more than a regular hamburger joint. They have both high tables and regular tables as well as booths. I particularly like the booths if you can get one.

A slice of America in Tokyo
Even though it's a chain, TGI Fridays does a good job of satisfying my Western food cravings when in Tokyo. The burgers are typically my go-to, but they also have items like steaks, tacos, nachos, chicken strips, and so forth. Price-wise though it's expensive compared to what you'd expect for a burger joint back home, but sometimes you pay for that with imported chains. The store has a good amount of seating in both table and booth format, with some of the booths capable of seating parties larger than the typical 4 seat style. The store is walkable in about 5 minutes from Shibuya Station.
