The end of an era
Just outside the west exit of Kasukabe Station is a now empty storefront. This Dosanko Ramen outlet served high quality ramen for over 40 years. With quirky cat-themed decor and the radio for background, it was a fun place for lunch or a light dinner. I'm going to miss it. Keep watching the location for the next thing. Kasukabe City's station front is undergoing a major renovation which will bring new eateries to the neighborhood. A Dosanko fan? Global ramen shop in Kasukabe
I’ve had ramen at other Dosanko locations. It’s pretty reliable for miso ramen and shio ramen. They do great noodles for tsukemen, too The Kasukabe location is right in front of the tracks on the west side of Kasukabe Station, so it’s a good choice when you’re transiting through the area. This time I had yuzukosho shio ramen. On a hot day, this is a zippy, refreshing and light version of ramen. The noodles are firm and thick, and the bowl is garnished with citrus zest, a hard boiled egg, cabbage, and juicy pork. Plus a generous dollop of yuzukosho paste.
