Decent Economy Stay

For our entire stay in Osaka, we decided to stay at this Superhotel, mostly because it was inexpensive and near a train line. This one has not-quite onsen but it was nice, with one large hot indoor bath, plus one small jacuzzi type bath section with three sitting spaces. In addition, there was a sauna that was far too hot for my family to enjoy. I don't know what's on the men's side, but on the ladies side it was all right, though after three days we no longer needed to go. My daughter got to the point where she was done with this bath because it was always the same bath and it was all right, but not that exciting. Also she would get too hot too quickly, so overall not our most fun hotel bath experience, but we've also had much worse. One of the big selling points for the Superhotel for me was that it had an open like free drinks bar in the evening which I only got to enjoy for about 12 seconds one time because my husband was in a rush to get elsewhere, so I had to just chug an ounce of rum and coke before we walked out the door. Which is fine, but not how I wanted to spend every single waking moment that we were in Osaka. The bed was so-so comfortable, not amazing, but not awful. You do have to pick up additional pillows downstairs, and I never got to pick up a lady pillow. There's a lady section that's just for pillows for ladies. And I never got to grab one because they were always out by the time we came back. Their pajamas were nice and stretchy so I could actually wear them to go down to the bath, even though I am a fairly large person by Japanese standards. My daughter enjoyed the two-room setup. The view wasn't anything particularly amazing, but the having two adjoining rooms for a family like ours is great because it means that someone can be using the bathroom while someone else is showering, and no one has to be totally uncomfortable. In the end, I think we had a really good time and I enjoyed our stay at the Superhotel. The breakfasts had enough options that we could all eat pretty well.
