    European style bread in Noda

On either side of Kawama Station in Noda City, there are many great restaurants and shops. A favorite is Chou Chou Boulangerie, a bakery cafe that makes gorgeous European style breads and Japanese fusion sweets. The bakery is very popular with locals. Chou Chou takes orders for whole loaves of brown, French and and boules. You have to get there s bot early to get a loaf if you don’t preorder. Some of their breads are satisfyingly crusty, and others have a delightful sour taste. Allergens are noted with little graphics, so you know what you’re getting. Chou Chou also has sandwiches and sweet treats that make for good “oyatsu”, coffee break snacks. Note: often closed Mondays. HOW TO GET THERE: 5 minute walk from the south exit of Kawama Station.
