Eats and shopping in a central area
When we stayed in Nagoya we were within a few minutes walk of Oasis 21 - it's right by the Nagoya TV Tower. If you like interesting design you'll be intrigued by the venue immediately. While there aren't a ton of shops here, it does have some of the basics you need - a Daiso, a 300 yen store, some clothing and local product shops (good for souvenirs). There are also quite a few places to grab a quick bite to eat or drink, including Cafe De Crie, McDonalds, and Starbucks. Quite chain-ish, but when you're in a hurry and looking for familiarity that can be handy. The general area of Oasis 21 is also nice for a walk after dark, if you have the time.

Good View Ok Shops
The view from the top of Oasis 21 is amazing, but the shops are average. There isn't anything too special and there aren't that many. Sometimes they have events! Unless you are in the area, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. There are much better places to go shopping in Nagoya.

For the night view
If you are spending some time in Nagoya, especially for some shopping in Sakae, you got to come to Oasis 21. This fancy district of Nagoya City is where the night life is at. It has a great amount of shops for some new clothes and other fun trinkets. The restaurants are plenty around, especially if you are looking for something of quality and possibly getting a drink on. However, the best part of Oasis 21 has to be the romantic elavated garden that you can go in for free. Be surrounded by pretty lights as you walk around the sky garden with your sweet heart is a great way to start and/or end your romantic night. If you're in the area with a special someone, this is a place not to miss.

Oasis 21
Ever since I came here to Japan, my favorite place to stroll at night is in Oasis 21 located at the center of Nagoya City. The Oasis 21 complex is also called "Spaceship-Aqua" because of its symbolic glass roof that floats in the air, and was built in Sakae. There are a lot of tourists you can see inside the Oasis 21, and everybody goes to the top floor to see the magnificent sight. On the ground level they also have fast food chain like McDonald's, they also got Starbucks, when I ordered my coffee, one of the baristas can actually understand me speaking in English so it was really a great relief for me. Lucky for you if you'll also encounter that barista (referring to those who can't speak in Japanese). You can have a variety of choices when it comes to food, they have enough food shops for you to choose. There's also a nearby convenience store for you. In winter we also have visited this place, and it has a skating range also found in the ground floor. Parking Area is not a problem, because there are lots of parking space/lot for you just near the place, For a minimum of ¥300 per 20 minutes you can rent a parking space for your car and enjoy the stroll around Oasis 21.
