A beautiful pottery store
There's something special about handmade pottery pieces, and Enshu Mimoroyaki Bessho Kama in Mori, Shizuoka, has a range of them to choose from. The sake cups, vases, and pendants were the things that caught my eye the most, and I loved that they were all really natural, earthy toned - I feel like they're the kinds of items that never go out of style. If you're after a special keepsake for yourself, or a wonderful gifting option, be sure to stop by here if you're in the area.

One of kind ceramic shop offering one of kind products
Okuni (aka Oguni) Shrine is the only shrine of over 80,000 in Japan, that has a ceramic shop on its grounds. And what makes it even more special is that Enshu Mimoroyaki Bessho Kama use materials from the shrine and the grounds to glaze onto their ceramics. They have a delightful selection of ceramics. You can purchase various types of cups, crockery and things for the home as well as jewellery and other pieces. There is a sign at the door that welcomes people to just come in and have a look. And you can see the newly baked and drying ceramics both inside the shop and outdoors too. On top of all that the location is stunning and the shop itself is very earthen, serene and relaxing. The building was made largely from natural products. They have some lovely little artistic touches making it a very pleasant shop to peruse in for a few minutes. You will surely find something that you want to buy though.
