Restored, multipurpose heritage building
The restored and remodeled Resona Bank building is a model for other communities with valuable and central heritage buildings. The Renaissance-revival exterior has been restored while the interior retains some of the bank's features, with the vault used as a gallery space and the main floor a showroom for local products. It's photogenic and there is a wide plaza in front where you can get a good view of the building.

Brand new hub in Kawagoe
The former Saitama Resona Bank on Ichibangai in the tourist area of Kawagoe reopened last week as a swanky new dining and business hub in central Kawagoe. The building, a registered cultural property of Japan, operated as a bank until 2020. Since then, it has been undergoing a transformation. You could always go into it when it was a bank, but only one small area. Now, you can explore most of the building. Even go upstairs and get a great view of Ichibangai (the main tourist thoroughfare) from above. Moreover, the former parking lot is now a community space where they plan to hold events. It is a great new addition to the tourist area.
