Old-fashioned onsen hotel

The hospitality at this hotel central to Hiraizumi, the world heritage site, really won me over. Staff warmly welcome visitors and provide a lot of guidance for tours and local history. The hotel hasn't been modernized, but I think that's part of its charm. The rooms are spacious tatami spaces with a Bubble era vibe. The hot spring is special for the view over the town. I liked starting my day here with a soak surrounded by greenery. The kaiseki cuisine dinner included in our stay was delicious and more than I could eat. I would stay there again next time I visit Hiraizumi.
