A Wine Izakaya
Oddly, this is listed as an izakaya on Google Maps, but I somewhat disagree with that classification. The establishment is crowded, for sure, but the environment feels more restaurant than izakaya. This place touts itself on its selection of wine, but the food menu is decent. They have several items on the menu that provide a bit of an impression, though nothing on the menu is cheap. Be prepared for a bill of 10,000 yen between two people. Since it is technically higher-scale dining, don’t expect the portion sizes to be large as well. What I do remember of the wine selection is that there are a lot to choose from. The bottle my partner and I had was on the lower end of the price spectrum but it was still quite good. If you get lucky and get the owner to serve you, you’ll be in good hands in terms of recommendations.
