24 Hour Cafeteria
Having a place you can eat at that is open 24 hours is very convenient, especially in Tokyo, where everything except the nightlife closes at around 11 p.m. This place is a cafeteria, so the food quality isn’t Michelin-star quality, but it gets you fed at a reasonable price. Most of the staff are relatively friendly as well, though it depends on the time you go. The seating is fairly spaced out and there are about three or four televisions all playing the same thing placed at various viewpoints around the room. It seems that the regulars here glue their eyes on the programs. You can see that the room has seen many years, but it is relatively well-kept, especially when under the assumption that many folks come here during a lunch or dinner rush. How you eat here is a bit different from most restaurants. Instead of ordering at the table, you pick out what you want to eat from a refrigerated section and bring it to the kitchen area where the staff will serve you rice, soup, and warm up whatever food you chose. When you finish eating, you go back to the entrance with the receipts you got with the food you warmed up and pay for your tab.
