Supporting the farmers

JA stands for Japan Agriculture. There are JA shops all around Japan. Frankly, this particular JA shop doesn't have a particularly good selection of anything. And its right beside a convenience store that has a huge range of bento and food suitable for lunch. But I chose to go to the JA store to support local farmers. I was the only customer in the store - at lunch time! I picked up some locally made yakisoba, for twice what they would have cost me next door in the convenience store!
