Early opening cafe
I've said it before here on City-Cost, but one thing that gives me the occasional frustration here is that cafes often open around 10am, which isn't great when you want an early morning caffeine fix or bite to eat. Obviously convenience stores fill that gap, but sometimes you just want to sit down somewhere and have a leisurely experience. Coto Cafe close to Nagano Station is a good option for the early birds out there since they open at 7am, and they have some decently priced meal sets to choose from, including a scone set which comes with homemade jam and cream + a drink (750 yen), or a salmon and cream cheese muffin set with salad + a drink for 850 yen. Of course, you can just grab a coffee or latte on its own if you just want a drink.
