Second Best Rated in Japan for Thyroid

My doctor recommended going to Kuma Hospital for an exam over a closer hospital as they are one of Japan's top thyroid and breast specialist hospitals. One of their good points is that when you go for a thyroid test, you can get results the same day. The exception is if you need a biopsy and then you have to go the next week for the result. The hospital was clean and well organized and all the staff were very helpful. They have a "beeper" system to notify you when it's time to enter the doctor's office or go to the testing room, make your payment, etc. There is some signage in English as well as on one of the medical forms because I'm not Japanese. I communicated that I can speak Japanese but don't know medical terms and will have difficultly remembering it all. The doctor was very helpful and obviously checked translations for me in advance so she could write down English for difficult words. They do not provide services in languages other than Japanese. They did provide print outs of the valid information so all of that could be reviewed later on. I recommend Kuma Hospital for anyone in the area in need of a thyroid screening as long as you can speak Japanese or bring an interpreter.
