Unexpectedly Good Okonomiyaki
Train station restaurants are usually just passable for me, but this particular okonomiyaki restaurant did well with their food. You get seated at a table with a grill on it, but you don't need to worry about making your food. On my visit, I ordered yakisoba and Kyoto okonomiyaki, and both were already made by the cooks when they arrived. The main purpose of the grill is to keep it warm and presumably to keep the feel of group togetherness. This restaurant's (or perhaps Kyoto's) okonomiyaki is thicker than Osaka style but doesn't come with noodles, like Hiroshima's version. However, it is a lot fluffier and softer than other okonomiyaki I've tried.
