Bustling Convenience Store Near Downtown

Basic convenience store offering tons of baked bread. This Daily Yamazaki is downtown on the border between Furumachi and Honcho. It gets a tremendous amount of foot traffic, so the staff are always milling around replenishing drinks, rice balls, or packaged goods. The aisles are a bit narrow, but nothing unnavigable. The biggest difference between this brand of convenience stores and others is the emphasis on freshly baked bread and prepared sandwiches with a more homey, down to earth feel. They carry a monstrous brand of rice balls, one being enough for anyone with a regular appetite. They also carry a lot of character goods because they get enough tourists to warrant it. The seating area is open and usually about 1/2 full with people chowing down on their purchases. Excellent for the chilly Niigata winter days or getting some a/c during the summer. Stop in for a break and enjoy some rice balls or sandwiches with a homemade touch.
