Inspired by a girl from the Alps
Across the Kawaguchiko Lake, where you can take a glimpse of Mt.Fuji, you’ll find a nice and cozy Italian restaurant called Italian Tomato Club 1st. Other than pizzas and pastas, it also serves other European cuisine and pastries. Plus, it is also a part of Heidi’s Flower Garden, where you can enjoy a tantalizing view of flowers and the Kawaguchiko Lake. If the name HEIDI is familiar with you, it’s because it’s from an animation during the 70s called “Heidi, Girl of the Alps.” Hence, you’ll see drawings of the character and even on their WINE! Which I grade 3 out of 5 stars. Food: It was good. But it is a kind of good that played it safe, hence it doesn’t really stand-out compared to other Italian restaurants in Japan. Pastries: I enjoyed it. Especially the tomato shaped cake. It looked pretty. But I liked their fruit-based cake more. I just love fruits! Service: A bit slow. We were the only people there, but it took a while for our food to get served. Ambiance: It’s nice for a romantic date.
