Beside the History Museum and Osaka Castle
I recently went to the Osaka Museum of History and saw that the NHK building was attached. I enjoyed the local version of Domo-kun (the mascot), as a ball of takoyaki instead of his usual box shape. Inside there was some event happening where tons of people were taking photos of a man in a kimono on a stage. He must have been an actor or celebrity, but as I don't watch TV, I have no idea haha. I looked around a small room on the ground floor with displays and found something fun. It looks like kids can wear costumes and pose with some characters from a kids show. There are also postcards that you can stamp at about five different stations to make a wood block printing style image of Domo-kun and Osaka Castle. Some stamps were on another floor, where there were displays from some of the TV dramas. Again I didn't recognize anything since I don't watch TV, but if you knew the shows it could be exciting. There were also some stickers from a kids show and some postcards and flyers from some TV programs. There was no fee to enter and look around, so this is a nice indoor detour if you're visiting Osaka Castle or the History Museum next door, epecially if you know any of their programs.
