    Peaceful outside of peak season

Tokyo's Joenji Temple is known as a springtime sakura spot because of the weeping cherry trees on the grounds, but I'd recommend stopping by outside of that period too in order to enjoy the maximum tranquility the temple offers. It's only 5 minutes on foot from Shinjuku-nishiguchi Station, so there's a certain convenience with visiting as well.
