Not actually a museum
I was very excited to go to the Takoyaki 'Museum' many years ago on my first visit. So I was sorely disappointed to discover it is only a food court! At least on subsequent visits, I knew what to expect. We only go every once in a blue moon, for the novelty for my takoyaki loving kids. The takoyaki we have tasted was good, not the best, but good enough. Its gimmicky and photogenic enough for a visit if you are in the area.

Takoyaki Foodcourt
Just like another reviewer has said, this is a food court, and not really a museum. You are not going to find exhibitions and learn about its history. What you will find, however, is several stores of takoyaki, covering different styles as well. Traditional osaka style, souped takoyaki... etc. But, another problem is that you are not going to be eating from more than 2 shops if you come here on your own. With a part of 6, then it would be fun to order from 6 shops and have one each. So, just make sure you set your expectations right.

Explore a variety of different takoyaki types in Tokyo
If you're a fan of takoyaki and you're in the Odaiba area, be sure to pop into the Odaiba Takoyaki Museum. It's more of a food court than a museum to be honest, but it's a fun way to explore some different types of this much-loved dish in a very newbie-friendly setting. It was one of the first places I visited when we moved to Japan several years ago now, and I still look back on it fondly!
