Shaved ice specialty store

Tamaya is a shaved ice specialty store, and I believe they have a number of branches but this review specifically relates to the branch at the Tobu Department Store in Ikebukuro. Their unique kakigori has a texture that's more in line with a gelato than some others I've tried, and they have a variety of fun flavors including things like cookies and cream, strawberry, and chocolate mint. The quality is good but the shaved ice is pretty pricey -- expect around the 1000 yen mark for most flavors.
