Hanamomo is a relaxed-feeling cafe that has a fairly simple menu – there are toasted sandwiches (either margherita or ham and cheese) or onigiri plates served with soup or salad served with soup and salad for 1100 yen, plus a variety of drinks, cakes, and gelato. I really liked the vibe here, and would probably return for that alone! Located just a short walk from the Bandai Bridge if you're visiting Niigata City.
