Wide and varied vistas
Koga Sogo Park southwest of Koga Station has vistas mostly unmarred by the modern world. You can look in most directions and see little of the suburban landscape outside the park's boundaries. The park has two large ponds, one noted for its lotus, an orchard of peach trees, and a collection of kominka heritage houses significant to local history. There are lots of places for children to play with grass fields, the Fujimizuka, a hill shaped like Mt. Fuji, and ponds. Along the paths are an aviary with peacocks, ponds and streams to splash around in, and rest houses with benches. It's most popular for the peach orchard, but it's also lovely in autumn with spectacular foliage.
