Great Indian Food Near Sendai Station

If you're looking for real Indian food in Sendai, this is the place to come. With a location just in front of Sendai station (and another elsewhere in the city), it is no mystery why this little place is a favorite of foreign and Japanese curry lovers. The other location is in the business district and has been offering a lunch curry buffet for years. Now this location too has gotten in on the action. For just 1200 yen, you get quite a meal including refillable rice, naan, and curry. In addition, the menu offers many other plans. You can order ala cart or pick one of many value sets. The best part is people who love spicy food and authentic Indian curry can satisfy their cravings just minutes from the east exit of Sendai station. The dining room itself is colorful and clean, though smoking is not prohibited. The waitstaff is professional and completely bilingual, which is nice if you don't feel like massacring Indian dish names with poorly pronounced katakana. I've been going to this restaurant for years and never had a bad time. The dish pictured is not the lunch special as we went in the evening. This is the Namaskar Set, I believe. 2 curries of the day, plus saffron rice, naan, salad, chicken, dessert and a drink. All for around 2000 yen. Worth the price!
