Lola's Cupcakes

Cute cupcakes - but very pricey!

Japan has many beautiful sweet treats for us as expats to enjoy - but sometimes I'll just find myself craving a good cupcake. Lola's Cupcakes is a British based company that has now made its' way to Tokyo (with a couple of locations here now) and they make the most adorable sweet treats - the picture is of some mini cupcakes we received from there. In saying that - they are expensive. We actually received these as a gift, but they normally cost about 250-300 yen for a single mini cupcake. Don't get me wrong - they are tasty, and beautifully presented. But to buy several cupcakes would be very expensive and on our budget right now it's definitely not something we would be buying despite how tasty they are. Long story short - the products are delicious and look the part, but unless you're rolling in money or picking them up for a gift for someone, I don't think they're worth it.
