New Plant-based Menu Items

As a longtime veggie, I’ve been confounded by how slowly veggie friendly offerings have been filtering into Japanese fast food. Mos Burger has a new ‘plant-based’ menu, and I’m loving their pivot to veggie friendly options. Tried the ‘Teriyaki Plant-based Burger’ meal (with fries and and oolong tea), and I was happy how light and delicious the veggie patty was. Too often I’ve found that the veggie patties edge toward the heavier in their delivery in pursuit of mimicking the staying power of authentic hamburgers. Loved the optional sauce, the teriyaki of the burger, and it was mixed with a little spicy mayo. I would recommend adding a salad for a little more roughage and perhaps a dessert for after if you have a healthy appetite. The seating is ample, but the lunch rush comes in waves, rotating between nearly full tables to barely anyone in 20 minute cycles, but the ordering process is easy to navigate, and the menu has English all over it, so you can point and indicate how many with hand gestures should the need arise.
