Hanamaki Parking Area (Outbound)

Watch out for Otani's high school!

Hanamaki Parking area is a really small parking area on the Tohoku Expressway on the way from Tokyo to Akita. However, they are currently renovating it and it looks like they are going to put a shop in. Right now, there is just two vending machines, toilets and a smoking area! They also have a display area where they post different quotes from Kenji Miyazawa's works each day. Shortly after leaving the parking area, heading North for Akita, you can see Shohei Otani's high school on the right hand side!
