Tonkatsu Taro

Really generous portions, convenient location

Tonkatsu Taro is located at the CocoLo shopping complex at Niigata Station, and it's a great place for a filling meal. The katsu pieces for the katsu bowls are generously portioned, and they're served atop local koshihikari rice -- I'm fairly biased but I do think it's the world's best rice. One downside is that the store itself isn't particularly large, and it is quite popular, so depending on the time and day of your visit you might find yourself having to wait.
