Kaishunso (Yamagata Aritomo's Villa) 皆春荘

Classic villa adjacent to magnificent garden

When I visited Kaishunso in June, the villa of Yamagata Aritomo, the garden was verdant and no flowers stood out. However, inside the sukiya tea house villa was hosting the work of artist Shunko Yamamoto. The villa has intimate spaces for tea and displaying art and spacious views of the hillside garden.
