The description
Ghana White Chocolate is a 45 gram bar of rich white chocolate made from beans farmed in Ghana. Comes in a convenient box, rather than plastic wrapping.
The good
I am a huge fan of Dars White chocolate but I bought Ghana White Chocolate for a change. It was nice, but nothing special. Despite Lotte being a Korean company, Ghana White Chocolate (and the other flavors in the range) are widely available throughout Japan. Probably because there are several Lotte factories in Japan. I actually always thought Lotte it was Japanese because we have at least two Lotte factories in Saitama prefecture and you can tour one of them! They use powdered milk made in Japan and manufactured in New Zealand.
The not so good
Honestly, I regretted buying Ghana White Chocolate for a change and wish I'd picked up my usual Dars white chocolate. The Ghana White Chocolate is not nearly as good. It doesn't melt in the mouth the way Dars chocolate does. Also, the fact that they use powdered milk that gets exported and then re-imported might explain why the quality is a lot lower than other white chocolate available in Japan. Moreover, its actually more expensive, costing 118 yen for one bar. I think I thought that it would taste better given that it is one of the more expensive white chocolate bars. Its not bad, but its not great either.
