Piñata time!

This year I offered to make piñatas for my workplace for our first Halloween party since the pandemic began.

In years previous, I used paper maché but found the results rather messy. This year I used a cardboard base with paperboard between the top and bottom and shredded tissue paper on top.

It wasn't that hard but did take a lot of time and I made them a bit too strong. Also, the weapons from the 100 yen store shredded themselves on the piñatas so if you're doing something similar, pick your piñata beaters appropriately.

Because I made them too strong, I had to shank the Eye of Sauron repeatedly before it could be broken by a kid, so next time I'm definitely going to make them a bit weaker.

Still, they were a hit.
