Zunda Beans Daifuku in Kamakura

Walking around Kamakura one day, one shop with a very green and natural looking sign caught my eyes.


It was a store focused on making Japanese sweets using zunda beans, which are these green beans similar to edamame.

Being interested in trying something I had never seen before, we purchased a zunda beans daifuku for 160 yen. It was not big, but it still interested us to try and share.

The beans were quite coarse and dry, and definitely not what fillings for daifuku usually are. It was also not that flavourful, and I cannot say it was money well spent.


If you go to Kamakura and see this, I would recommend going to a different shop instead.
