The biggest positive about this bar is that it contains 100mg of caffeine, which is apparently the same amount of caffeine in a cup of coffee. It also contains arginine, which is another stimulant found in energy drinks. Mix that into a bar with 15g of protein and you have a snack that looks attractive for an energy boost. This product is also made to have ridges so you can portion the bar off as you go or break off pieces to eat rather than having to bite into it and commit to eating the whole thing in one go.

For me, the biggest negative is the taste. Yes, it is chocolate flavoured, but the other protein bars in MyBasket have decent chocolate flavours but this one just feels off. Maybe the caffeine and arginine give this bar a weird unnatural taste. I’m also not a fan of the cereal included in the bar, something that seems to be common in protein bars in Japan. Additionally, the bar has a relatively high-calorie count considering its size. For a 34g portion, there are about 164 calories, which isn’t too bad but I feel a salad chicken would give me more protein for fewer calories.
