Mt. Fuji is Overrated for a Reason.

Mt. Fuji is Overrated for a Reason. photo

Last summer in August, my friends and I decided to plan a trip to Mt. Fuji. At first, we were indecisive, wondering if it was worth visiting, but then we found a budget-friendly package on Klook—and bang! We were off to Mt. Fuji.

The moment I laid my eyes on it, I was mesmerized. It was breathtaking. I realized then that it was all worth it. The only downside was that we went in summer, and it was hella hot. Imagine us taking pictures while sweating profusely! I’d definitely recommend visiting in a colder season, but if you can bear the heat, you can go any time of the year.

The mountain is really high and massive. Just looking at it, you feel this strange pull, as if it’s something divine—like maybe this is God, and you instinctively want to bow down. It’s real. The mountain beckons you to acknowledge its presence.

We weren’t that close to it, but for me, it was worth it. We also visited Lake Kawaguchi, one of the Fuji Five Lakes, which offers stunning views of the mountain.

Mt. Fuji is definitely a place you need to visit before you die.
