Unexpectedly Enjoying Art

I’ve never been into art that much, but I’ve always had a thing for history and literature. So, when my friend, who’s super into art, suggested we visit the National Museum of Western Art, I wasn’t exactly excited. Still, I decided to tag along out of curiosity. I never expected it to change my perspective, but it ended up blending my love for history and literature with art in a way I didn’t see coming.

The paintings were so detailed, I started wondering how long they must’ve taken to finish and how exhausting it must’ve been. It felt like being transported back in time, like stepping into different eras.

Some of the paintings, though, felt a bit mediocre, and I couldn’t help but wonder why they were even on display. Even my friend, who’s an art lover, joked she could paint something like that. But I guess that’s the thing with art—it raises more questions than answers. Ever looked at a painting and thought, What’s so special about this?

And that’s it. I wouldn’t say I’d go back regularly, but I definitely enjoyed the experience.
