If you already like choux cream pastries but wish they had a bit more texture to them, then this new crunch chocolate cream puff from Lawson is well worth trying. The top of it has a pie crust style coating topped with crunchy cookie pieces, and the inside is generously filled with a chocolate flavored cream. I liked the additional crunch -- I think it was a nice contrast to the smooth cream filling -- and this is probably something I would purchase again if I was in the mood for it. Price-wise I don't think it's bad, either, I think it's around what I would have anticipated it to cost.

I think if you're a choux cream pastry purist then maybe the crunchy pie-style topping won't be that appealing to you. From a visual perspective I also don't think it's the most aesthetically pleasing dessert, but hey -- it tastes delicious, and I guess that's the main thing! As this is a limited time only product, it'll likely disappear from store shelves as quickly as it appeared.
