The description

This product is a toffee nut donut, and it's a limited time offering available at Tully's Coffee stores across the country. It was priced at 355 yen including tax.

The good

This new toffee nut donut is a nice option for folks looking for a sweet treat to pair with their coffee, especially for anyone who enjoys caramel-flavored things. It's meant to be inspired by English toffee cookies, and although I've never tried one of those (or at least, not to my recollection!) it's a very nice tasting donut. The crushed nut pieces add a nice flavor and texture to the product, and also make it feel a bit fancier than your average old fashioned donut. I'd say it's worth trying if you enjoy caramel-flavored treats and enjoy old fashioned style donuts.

The not so good

The downside of this is that it's very expensive for a donut, especially when you compare it to convenience store offerings. For example, I recently tried a sakura themed donut from 7-11 which was half the price of this, and it was the same size and just as satisfying. I really do feel the price for this is too pricey for what it is, and I think somewhere in the 200 yen range would be more appropriate. Overall, it is tasty, but the price tag feeling too expensive is a big deterrent from trying it. I still enjoyed it, but wouldn't purchase it again.
