I'm a big fan of being able to get a seasonal sweets fix at a reasonable price, and convenience stores are a great place to scout out for that purpose. 7-11 recently released this sakura berry old fashioned donut, and the first thing that's great about it is the budget friendly price tag. Coming in at only 159 yen including tax, it's noticeably less expensive than what you'd expect to pay at somewhere like Misdo for a seasonal treat. It looks the part, too. The donut dough itself has a light pink hue to it, and half of the product is coated in a pink chocolate with white chocolate flakes as a garnish. It feels very cherry blossom-esque, so if you appreciate pretty eats then this is a good option to try out.

This is a very calorie dense donut, with the entire thing clocking in at 427 calories. Now, I'm not so naive to think anyone buying a donut is expecting something healthy, but it is just something to be mindful of. The portion is big enough that you could easily split it with someone for a lighter treat. Overall though, a delicious treat that looks the part, feeling very spring-like at a much more reasonable price point than a lot of other seasonal offerings elsewhere.
