Surprisingly tasty but I don't think it's worth the price

The description

This product is the "Hokkaido Mascarpone Cheese Cream Pasta" dish from Tully's Coffee stores. It's a limited time thing and was 930 yen including tax.

The good

This is an interesting pasta dish from Tully's at the moment, and it centers around a cream cheese sauce made with Hokkaido mascarpone. There's also pieces of bacon, cubes of sweet potatoes (random, but it works!) and sauteed spinach mixed in with the spaghetti as well. It's a nice alternative to traditional cream-based pastas that tend to feel quite heavy -- this manages to feel light but satiating all at once. It's quite a generous portion size, too, so I have no complaints there. Worth trying if you are looking for something different from a pasta dish.

The not so good

I do think the price (930 yen) is pretty pricey for a chain store pasta dish, especially since it's not like there are loads and loads of toppings -- the bulk of the dish is the spaghetti! Also, if you're a real purist you might find the combo of toppings to be a bit unusually paired, particularly the sweet potato cubes. If it was cheaper I might have rated it a bit higher, but as it stands I think three out of five is appropriate. If you really like the sounds of it, I think it wouldn't be too difficult to replicate at home for significantly cheaper than this price.
