Farmer's market getting Halloween-ready!

I grew up in Australia, where Halloween wasn't really a thing for us -- I think times there are changing now given the bigger influence of international media and such, but certainly when I was a kid there was no trick or treating, Halloween decorating, or pumpkin carving.

My American husband, however, grew up with all of those traditions, and while they are harder to replicate here in Japan I do notice that there are some ways that Halloween pops up even here in the countryside. While our local farmer's market doesn't stock massive American-style carving pumpkins, they do have a cute range of mini ones that they're selling at the moment which would be cute for home decor. Most of them are priced around 180 to 280 yen a piece, so I was thinking about getting a few of them mid-month so that we're ready for spooky season.

Have you noticed any Halloween-themed items popping up in your local stores yet this month? Do you celebrate this holiday in your home country?
