Edible chrysanthemums

I saw these bags of edible chrysanthemums at my local farmer's market recently, and it got me wondering about how to prepare them. I didn't purchase any yet because I wanted to do some research, but they definitely piqued my interest!

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries has a simple way to prepare edible chrysanthemums on their site – it just includes the edible chrysanthemums, vinegar, and soy sauce in a stir-fried style dish. It also recommends chopped walnuts as a garnish, which I imagine would add a nice textural crunch. Apparently, using edible chrysanthemums is popular in Yamagata (our prefectural neighbor!) because they're grown in abundance there.

Have you tried cooking with edible chrysanthemums? Any recipe suggestions or ways of preparing them you'd like to share?
