This was a last minute item that I added to my basket because it was close to the register and looked interesting, and I'm so glad that I picked it up! Iyokan is a type of citrus fruit fairly similar to mikan, and they're primarily grown in Ehime Prefecture. This cake has a really delicious, moist texture, and it actually contains Ehime-sourced iyokan juice and peel -- I always like that locally-sourced element to items. I thought the value for money aspect was pretty good too. It's not the cheapest cake slice out there, but the quality of this one did exceed my expectations. I'd happily repurchase this one again if it's still available on my next Kaldi visit!

One thing to be mindful of is that this product actually contains brandy liqueur on the ingredients list. It's really just there for flavoring, but if you're mindful of that or perhaps you are a halal eater, you would have to steer clear of this item. Overall though, I found this to be a super delicious citrus cake, and as I mentioned above I would happily repurchase it if it was still available on future visits. It's something I think would also work well as a small, reasonably-priced "thank you" item for any citrus lovers in your life. Happy eating -- I hope that if you try it, you end up loving it as well!
