The description

This product is a peach-scented Earl Grey macaron ice cream, and it's a limited time offering which was purchased from 7-11. It was priced at 257 yen including tax.

The good

I am a big fan of these macaron-style ice cream sandwiches, and as a tea lover I was keen to try this product. It's a peach scented Earl Grey macaron ice cream sandwich, and you could really smell the peachy aroma as soon as you opened the package. Taste-wise it reminded me a bit of peach iced tea but with those more trademark Earl Grey flavors -- the floral and citrusy undertones certainly came through in the taste. Price-wise it is a little more expensive than some other ice creams in convenience store freezers at the moment, but it does feel like more of a premium product.

The not so good

Inside the outer plastic wrapper, there is a square plastic "case" that the macaron ice cream sits in. It's there to make sure the product reaches you intact and well-presented, but obviously it just means that it's excess single use plastic. It always dismays me a little...I wonder if they could achieve the same effect with cardboard. Aside from that point, if we're just focusing on taste I really liked this product. If you like peachy desserts and also like the taste of Earl Grey tea, I think you'll give this product a resounding two thumbs up. I'd rate it around the 4 out of 5 star mark.
